What does a typical work day look like for you?

It depends it can be anything really. Normally the night before I am busy answering questions about production, then onto fabric and accessory ordering. I am instore everyday of the week for appointments and in between I work on the bespoke orders and planning for new products or events. I love being here for my clients and I have a special relationship with each and every one of them.

Go to beauty products?

Santa Maria Novella is my go to. The brand is a homage to old-world traditions; each pot, jar and bottle seeped in history. I love the Idralia Gentle Exfoliating Mask and the Almond Paste Handcream – everything is amazing.

What is your favourite drink?

Probably a champagne – definitely french. I love Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Champagne it’s one of my favourites.

How would you describe your personal style?

I love texture, I wear a lot of cashmere and silk. When im going out I wear a lot of embroidered and beaded pieces. But my daywear is a relaxed, luxury look. Because my days are busy with designing and fittings movement is important for me.

Where’s your favorite place to travel and why?

One of my favourtie places is Hong Kong, I lived there for 12 years. It was a real interntional, British colonial city and it had such a vibrancy back then, that’s why I stayed there for so long. I still have a close relationship to the city and love exploring the fashion district where I find a lot of my trims and one off special beaded pieces for my collections.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I adore cooking for my family, gardening is a tranquil time out for me, walking is my time to think and be inspired by my surroundings. Reading - I have such busy days so it’s nice to relax during my free time with a good book.

Whats the most important thing you have learnt from your years in the fashion industry?

It is forever changing, there is no such thing as complacency. Know your customer. Each collection is like a new beginning, I design each collection to make to it my very best. I have done 34 collections and I always learn something from the previous collection.
